Sachin Tendulkar becomes first cricketer to hit 50 test centuries : Cricket history was created at Super Sport Park in Centurion yesterday when Sachin Tendulkar posted his 50th Test century in the on-going first Test against South Africa. By achieving the feat, Tendulkar became the first batsman in the 133-year history of Test Cricket to complete a half-century of hundreds.
Besides being the only cricketer to score 50 Test centuries, Tendulkar also holds the record for most number of ODI hundreds. He has so far to his credit 46 centuries in one-day internationals. Tendulkar now has 96 international centuries, the most by any batsman.
Cricket World Cup 2011 : The next Cricket World Cup will be hosted jointly by Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka in 2011 and will feature 14 nations. The event opens with Bangladesh playing India on February 19,2011 and the final will contested in Mumbai on April 2, 2011.
